Round table „Reviewing the Strategy "e-Moldova"

On November 25, 2009 Small Conference Hall of Central Scientific Library of ASM hosted the Round Table „Reviewing the Strategy "e-Moldova", organized by the project "Building e-Governance in Moldova-2" and the Information Society Development Institute, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications.

The meeting was attended by a large number of participants, including Andrei Andries (RENAM), Constantin Gaindric (IMI), Gregory Belostecinic (ASEM), Sergiu Sytnic (ANRCETI), Anatol Gremalschi (PPI), Vitalie Boboc and Andrei Cusca (MTIC ), Igor Cojocaru (ISDI), Elena Moraru (USM), Elena Railean (CTIC), Ion Stefarta (Ministry of Culture) and others.

The round table was also attended by members of the Electronic Development Thematic Group (eTG) in Moldova. This group, an initiative of the World Bank, is part of a global community of practice in the field of ICT and is a virtual forum for sharing knowledge on ICT use for development.

The aim of the round table is to review the objectives, principles, areas of intervention, action plan, as components of the National Strategy "e-Moldova".

The main reports were presented by Ion Coşuleanu, project manager, Ludmila Ieseanu and Victor Besliu, project consultants. Reports generated discussion, which resulted in proposals for completing the document with models, goals, indicators, monitoring mechanisms and funding sources. It was also agreed that the process of drafting and finalizing the strategy is to continue exchanging ideas on websites www.idsi.md and www.e-moldova.md. The team of consultants will review the proposals and take them into consideration in the future versions of the document.
