A partnership Agreement was signed between IDSI and StarNet

On 10th December 2014 was signed the Partnership Agreement between Information Society Development Institute and StarNet company.
The main goal of the agreement is to elaborate and implement the project of capacities increasing in IT and ICT efficient use in rural area.
In order to realise this aim, the project partners - StarNet, IDSI and others, will focus on concrete actions for prepare students of the upper classes in schools in rural areas, through development their ICT skills.
Final project expectations, which begins soon, are that these students at graduation of the high school could be employed and support successful baccalaureate and then become highly qualified professionals. Besides training centers will operate workshops software project development and applications to users in the country and abroad.

Currently, we have developed IT infrastructure in Moldova, we are on the leading positions in the world at Internet speed, but we are in a great insufficiently qualified personnel in ICT. Therefore, we decided to invest in education a qualitative workforce, through projects with impact that directly address the young generation”, Alexandru Machedon, the president of the StarNet company.
 

In turn, the director IDSI, dr. Igor Cojocaru mentioned about “Necessity of collaboration between academic and business sectors to obtain useful results for society and citizens. 2 teams with similar views on the development of technology sector will achieve results with substantial impact both economically and socially. We are confident that this project will become a success.”
