CEEeGov Days 2020 will take place at the National University of Public Service and Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary on May 7-8, 2020.
The conference addresses public sector practitioners and policy makers, industry professionals and academia alike. The disciplines covered are primarily information sciences, law and administrative science, political science, sociology and economics. Theoretical and empirical contributions are equally welcome. We especially encourage submissions addressing the European Union in general, the Danube Region, the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
The CEEeGov Days are dedicated to all aspects of Public Sector ICT, however, every year a special topic is chosen, which also dominates keynotes and panel discussion. This year we felt that social networks and their relevance to the public sector warranted special attention. Social networks have existed since the early days of the Internet (eg, Bulletin Board Systems of the 1980s); today they shape public and private discussion alike and have arguably become the most prominent application on the Internet at all. How do social networks reshape political discussion and the general view of politics? How do administrations communicate in social networks? How do social networks feedback on how an administration functions? What is the role of social networks within administrations?
Beyond the general theme, papers are solicited in all areas of applying ICT to the Public Sector. The conference will particularly focus on, but not limit itself to, the following topics:
The conference language will be English only. Papers will be subjected to a double-blind review process and published jointly by Facultas and the Austrian Computer Society.
