About ISDI

Information Society Development Institute (ISDI) is a research institute focused on research and applications for information society development.
The Institute is the only R&D organization which is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certified.

ISDI serves as information and consultancy source, cooperating extensively with individuals and businesses interested in building an information society at national, regional and international levels.

We have joined the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers in 2014.

ISDI is founded jointly by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (2008).

ISO certifications

We are proud ISDI recertified its integrated management system in January 2022, ensuring compliance with international standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO/IEC 27001:2018. 

Membership in international organisations 

In 2023, IDSI joined CoARA - Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment and signed the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment

In 2023, IDSI became a member of OpenAIRE - Open Scholarly Communication Infrastructure. 

Since 2020, IDSI has been the national mandated organisation and later on, since 2022, observer, in the European Open Science Cloud Association (EOSC). 

Since 2017, IDSI is the member of the national RED Coalition. 

Since 2014 IDSI is a member of MD-GRID Joint Research Unit Consortium

Since 2014 ISDI has adopted the Personal data protection policy and is registered at the National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova with nr. 0000191 - 001 in the Register of evidence of personal data controllers. 

Since 2013 IDSI is a member of NESSI and Net!Works European Technology Platforms.
