On November 3, 2014 Information Society Development Institute (ISDI) signed a cooperation agreement with the Small Business Association (SBA). The agreement aims to strengthen multilateral ties through cooperation in ICT, innovation activities and especially promotion of collaboration between the R&D and the business sector.
The agreement comes as a result of previous discussions by partners aiming at effective collaboration between academia and business in Moldova. Both partners have mentioned the importance and impact of inventions, research results and implemented projects by means of partnerships between researchers and business people. Researchers are able to propose quality solutions for business challenges.
Igor Cojocaru, ISDI director and Eugene Roscovanu, president of the Small Business Association, discussed the joint projects and initiatives and planned a series of meetings, workshops and other events meant to encourage the active collaboration of the two sectors.
