ITineret - the future begins with you

In the period of April 26 and June 19, 2010, the contest “ITineret - the future begins with you” will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Information Technologies and Communication, Mr. Alexandru Oleinic. This is the first national contest organized for pupils from X–XII forms and students of I-II years of university who take interest in information technologies (IT).

Young people wishing to participate in the contest have to present till June 19, 2010, various IT projects in such categories as Web-sites, Applications and Graphics, which are either already elaborated or are in the process of elaboration. The winner selection criteria will include the project originality, utility, quality and functionality for the Republic of Moldova. The jury will consist from representatives of various universities, the Ministry of Education, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, as well as sponsors of this event.

The most gifted 100 participants of the contest are to be selected and offered the possibility to take part in the IT summer camp, where beside the entertainment program they will have the opportunity to participate in different thematic seminars and meet with international and national IT experts.

It is worth mentioning that the best competitors will be offered valuable prizes such as notebooks, netbooks and multimedia systems.

The contest aims at stimulating young IT talents, studying or intending to enrol in a faculty related to information technologies, to carry out new projects and develop the IT field in the Republic of Moldova.
