IDSI signed the Agreement on MD-GRID Joint Research Unit Consortium

On 21.07.2014, Information Society Development Institute signed the Agreement on MD-GRID Joint Research Unit Consortium.

Along with ISDI, the Agreement was signed by:
Research and Educational Networking Association of Moldova; Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova; Institute of Applied Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova; Technical University of Moldova, Information Technologies Department, Faculty of Radioelectronics and Telecommunications; State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “N. Testemiţeanu”; Institute of Geology and Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova; State Hydrometeorological Service; State University of Moldova, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

The main scope of the JRU Consortium is to co-ordinate activities oriented towards the implementation of the MD-GRID integrated projects, computing infrastructure and services including all its component projects.

In line with the scope, the major objectives of the Consortium are as follows:
- To increase awareness about MD-GRID activities and benefits among potential users.
- To encourage and facilitate the involvement of other interested and competent institutions nation wide.
- To support the development of the MD-GRID integrated project as a consistent and coherent part of the European R&D activity in this field.
