We invite you to the online webinar “Artificial Intelligence in practice: Image recognition and analysis”. It will take place on Tuesday, March 16, between 15:00 and 17:00 and will be held in English. The webinar is to show the joint usage of image recognition and business analytics in the field of traffic management.
The webinar is to show the joint usage of image recognition and business analytics in the field of traffic management. The case is settled in Ancient Rome. Traffic cameras take photos of incoming cars at certain points of Rome’s artery roads and the resulting data is used to analyse incoming traffic in the morning rush hour to derive traffic patterns. This will then be the foundation of traffic management measures, from planning public transport lanes to measures for a more fluid traffic.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Prosser, the lecturer in this webinar, is professor of business informatics and teaches Enterprise Resource Planning systems and Business Analytics at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. His research also includes eGovernment. He won the European eGovernment Award and the BMW award. He is also Treasurer of the Austrian Computer Society.
The international project “Danube Region acute”, a cooperation between univiersities and research centres in Hungary, Moldova, Austria and Baden-Württemberg, led by the Europa Zentrum Baden-Württemberg and financially supported by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung, therefore focused on this topic and developed a series of online lectures and webinars for students and other interested people, in order to tackle different aspects of risks and potentials of AI in and for the Danube Region and beyond.
