Digital laboratories of physics in 10 high schools from Moldova

The academic year 2015-2016 brings a surprise in 10 high schools in the Republic of Moldova, whose laboratories of physics will be equipped with modern equipment, according to the latest standards in education. In this regard, on February 5th the equipment for laboratories was transmitted to the schools selected through competition.

The event was attended by the Minister of Education Corina Fusu, the Deputy Minister of Education Nadia Cristea, Ana Chirita, Executive Director of the National Association of ICT companies and representatives of the beneficiary institutions. The laboratories endowment with equipment is part of the "Smart Classroom" Project, implemented by the Ministry of Education and the National Association of ICT companies, with the support of the Korean International Cooperation Agency.

The 10 educational institutions will benefit from the hardware and software solutions, needed to set up digital physics laboratories PASCO SPARK. Thus, Moldova joins the over 100 countries that use cutting-edge products and technologies offered by PASCO, a global leader in developing innovative solutions for education.

The Minister of Education underlined the importance of the support provided and thanked the Embassy of Korea, noting that "digital technologies should not be a simple addition to the curriculum, they must be fully integrated in the educational services at all levels of the education system".

The Digital Equipment within the Laboratory will be used for teaching, experimental and practical demonstrations in a wide range of disciplines: Integrated Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Ecology. To ensure effective implementation of innovative solutions in education and efficient use of the equipment, during January -March 2016, professors of physics, computer science, biology of the beneficiary institutions will participate in a series of trainings.

9. LT "Stefan Holban" from Hincesti
10. LT Ştefăneşti from Floresti
