The Third Conference of Mathematical Society of the Republic of Moldova is dedicated to the 50 anniversary of the foundation of Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science "IMCS-50" and will take place on 19-23 August 2014 in the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (Chişinău, Academiei str., 5).
On 25 February 2014, Information Society Development Institute issued the declaration of accession to the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, through which ISDI agreed on the principles and conditions set out therein.
This forum is one of the largest economic conferences in Poland, a place for dialogue about the economy in a globalized world. This year the event had the slogan: "Integration and Cooperation", the debate was focused specifically on entrepreneurship, small and medium enterprises.
In addition to provisions that set bilateral cooperation between Moldova and the European Union on the economic dimension, industrial, energy, transportation, trade, etc., the Agreement contains provisions referring to "strengthening cooperation on the development of the Information Society".
The Swedish Institute Baltic Sea Region Cooperation now has the pleasure to announce scholarships for the academic year 2014/2015 within the SI Visby Programme. The scholarship call is targeted at talented, creative students and post-doctoral researchers from Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia and Ukraine for post-graduate studies or research at universities in Sweden.
In total, more than 4000 researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, young people and policy makers attended the event.
A training for ICT and FET National Contact Points (NCPs) took place on October 23-24, in Brussels. The training focused on new initiatives and opportunities of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – HORIZON2020.
During October 20 – 23, the responsible of the international relations of the ISDI – Anastasia Stefanita, attended the 13th World Summit of the Nobel Peace Laureates (as well as the Civic Academy organised in its framework). The event was held in Warsaw, Poland (where Anastasia Stefanita is for one academic year with the Lane Kirkland Scholarships Program).
Every year, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly-qualified academics from transition and developing countries to spend time in Germany working on research under the "Georg Forster Research Fellowship" Programme. In this way, the Foundation promotes the sharing of knowledge and methods between Germany and the researchers' own countries.
Researchers will be present at Researchers Night in Chisinau, an event that celebrates science and takes place on the 27-th of September.
