Summer School “Open Access and Open Sources for Librarians” has held on 3-10 July 2016 in the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, Faculty of Product Design and Environment-DPM. The event was organized within the Project „Modernization of academic library services in Moldova” funded by the Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education with Eurasia, developed in partnership between 18 university libraries from Republic of Moldova, University of Bergen, Norway and Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania.
West Europe, as well as researchers worldwide, and adding synergy to their endeavors to lay down the mathematical foundations for computer science, also known as informatics. Round tables are planned to ensure an open debate on the state of the art and new directions of research and cooperation, as well as on the action items required for renaissance of research on this domain in East Europe.
The Republic of Moldova has completed data mapping which is the backbone for the implementation of the 2030 Development Agenda. The exercise was organized under the leadership of the State Chancellery and the National Bureau of Statistics, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project activities were implemented by the CIVICUS Management&Development Company (Romania) in consortium with Information Society Development Institute (Moldova).

In the framework of the Danube-INCO.NET project the S3 Platform together with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova successfully organised on February 18-19.2016 in Chisinau the first workshop on smart specialisation (S3) strategy design targeted to the EU enlargement and neighbouring countries. The objective of the WS was to enable countries outside the EU to benefit from S3 methodology focusing knowledge-based investments on a limited number of priority areas identified following an entrepreneurial discovery process.
The academic year 2015-2016 brings a surprise in 10 high schools in the Republic of Moldova, whose laboratories of physics will be equipped with modern equipment, according to the latest standards in education.
The purpose of the event in Ulm was to show how the excellence and relevance of the research and support activities executed by JRC in cooperation with its partners from the Danube macro-region can impact scientific, economic, social and environmental development.
